Visiting the historic capital of Rome can be quite a journey as you explore the world of gladiators, past politicians, Roman gods and soldiers. If you are looking for some calm among the hustle and bustle of the city, why not head for the country?

Approximately 30km outside of Rome, no more than 25 minutes by train, lies the breathtaking town of Cave, you will find a town full of classic Italian character.

It has cobbled streets, authentic family-run pizzerias and gelaterias, as well as a medieval town centre that is the main attraction for tourists; main sights to watch out for include The Monumental Presepes statues and very impressive Liberty Style building all around the town.

Palestrina's Archaeologic museum is literally just 5 Km, and many more historic and archeologic sites are nearby, as well as medieval castles, the majestic villas of Tivoli and numerous elegant palaces; within a short drive you'll find Magicland amusement park (owner can provide discounted tickets for park entry) and outlet shopping at the Valmontone Fashion District (owner can provide a discount card for extra savings when you shop). Guidonia's AcquaPiper waterpark and Tivoli's pools are a 30 minute drive away; the city of Rome and the beaches of Lazio are all within reach and make for great day trips.
